Taney Mothers’ Union is part of an international charity with more than four million members in eighty three countries which seeks to support families, particularly those suffering from adversity. In Taney our group comprises around 30-40 women, who meet around once a month from September to May each year for friendship, fun and mutual support as well as to provide some modest contribution towards our wider organisation’s activities.
Taney Parish Mothers’ Union continues to have some very interesting and successful meetings. This season has included well-supported talks on Fire Safety in the Home, Recycling, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, as well as a lovely meal in a local restaurant. On Tuesday 9th April, there will be an afternoon tea party for members and friends at 3pm, while on Tuesday 14th May at 8pm, after a very short AGM, Rev’d Nigel Pierpoint will give a presentation with curated photographs of the 2018 parish pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine.
Taney M.U. are very friendly and welcoming. All Taney parishioners and friends are welcome to our open talks – husbands, partners and friends often come along. So, if you would like to meet us, or if a topic of interest catches your eye, do feel free to drop in.
Our meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month at 8.00pm in the Parish Centre and are open to all parishioners and friends. If you feel like coming along, we will be delighted to see you.
